Fresh off the bench, this PreBS 20+ is extra Sweet with top of the line Mercury Magnetics trannies, solid cherry cab with dovetail joints and hand rubbed oil/urethane finish. This time around I went with a traditional 1×12 baffle featuring a hemp cone Eminence Cannabis Rex. Of course it also has all the bells and whistles too like push-pull bright and mid-boost pots and negative feedback control to dial in the amount and character of headroom/breakup. Equally at home in the studio or on stage. A Deluxe reverb style build and then some!

A pair of 6V6 or 6L6 power tubes put out from 20W -36W and a user adjustable bias pot on the rear panel makes tube changes simple and saves you $. The best inside and out!

Wilco at Chicago Theater

Finally got to see Pat Sansone’s Sweet Sansonic in action with Wilco. He’s using it for guitar and keyboards on the supporting tour of the Wilco Schmilco album. A nice pure guitar/amp contrast to Nels Cline’s lo-fi effect pedal noise guitar textures. A true proffessional and a pleasure to work with!

Figured Harwood Cabinets

Just teamed up with my dad, who builds beautiful Shaker style furniture, to offer custom solid harwood cabinets as an upgrade to new Sweet builds. Pictured is a figured walnut PreBS 15 cab and a solid cherry PreBS 20 cab. Both finished with a hand rubbed custom oil/varnish mix. Polyurethane sprayed finish is also available if a glossy look is preffered. Baffle configuration and grill cloth style can be custom selected.

Another custom PreBS 20 just completed. This one is covered in brown ostrich with cane grill cloth and has the optional 1×12 + 1×10 baffle. Speakers this time are JBL D120 and Eminence Legend 1058. Additional features are, push-pull bright and mid boost switches along with the ever popular feedback control on the rear panel. The perfect balance of muscle, grit and elegant chime. Equally at home with blues, country, Indy, rock and R&B. One extremely versatile gigging and recording combo! SOLD

The new owner of the latest Sweet amp picked up his new live touring amp last week. Pat Sansone of Wilco and The Autumn Defense is using it on the current tour with The Autumn Defense. It features all Mercury Magnetics transformers, 10″ and 12″ speakers, 6L6/6V6 operation, push-pull bright switch on the volume pot and a neg feedback control on the rear panel. It’s got just the right amount of headroom, touch sensitivity and harmonically rich breakup at higher volumes. This one is in good hands. Thanks Pat! I will be building more just like this in the near future!
