Chicago Fret Works – Amp Repairs from Steve Baker on Vimeo.

Sweet amplifiers are made one at a time by hand in Chicago USA based on tried and true “all tube” circuit designs with the best components available. Standard models and custom designs with many cabinet options and coverings are available. Power ratings from 5W to 120W and speaker configurations such as 1×8, 1×10, 2×10, 3×10, 1×12, 2×12, 1×15 or a combination of your choice.

Sweet amplifiers are totally old school but even more functional. All features and controls will be familiar but “dialed in” for a more useable range of tone control. My love of vintage tone is combined with a practical approach to amp building which results in total functionality. This means that every feature will be useful and no control knob should need to be turned all the way up or all the way down to get a good tone.

You will find that Sweet amplifiers give more bang for your buck and will often out perform amps that have higher power ratings. This means that you may be able to gig with (and carry) a smaller and better sounding amp than you are currently using.

Sweet amplifiers can be tweaked to fit your style or instrument. Most models can be tuned specifically for harmonica as well and if you are in the Chicago area, you can be there to listen to and make personalized changes at the final stages of the build. We really want this to be “your” Sweet amp!

Sweet Amplification is currently focused on Fender type amps from the 50′s and 60′s but will be expanding to include British designs as well as new original guitar and bass models.
